The castle Ctěnice invites for an interesting trip near Prague. Located near the capital it offers its expositions to visitors of all ages. Good location of the object attracts to visit this historic monument and its areal especially all visitors from Prague and the Central Bohemia. The rich history of the castle including the renovated rooms will inspire all lovers of history, horses, art and historical objects. The entire castle is surrounded by a well-kept park, which is the ideal place for exhibitions, fashion shows, outdoor banquets, teambuilding activities or just for spending pleasant moments.
The first mention of the fortress in Ctěnice is dated to 1372. Since then, the original Gothic structure has changed its appearance and owners many times. In the 16th century the original fortress was rebuilt into the Renaissance chateau, to which in the early 19th century some Baroque elements were added. Larger alterations correspond to the end of the 19th century, fitting new doors and windows significantly altered the original appearance of the castle. The painting of the interior were also new.
