In our boarding house there used to live Josef Smola with his family, native from Dobruška, town doctor and portreeve (1848-51)and also the chief organiser of the constuction of the church of St. Jacob and the town brewery. Only four houses survived the destoying fire of Polička in 1845. Thanks to the courage of Mr. Smola who tied himself and his wife to each other so that they did not get lost in the smoke, their house survived. Nowadays there are 6 rooms with TV, SAT, TEL, WC and bathroom with shower available here. On the ground floor there is a café where the bufet breakfast is served. In hot summer nights you can have a seat in summer garden with grill. Own car park.
