The Sklář guesthouse and restaurant is located in the centre of Karolinka, in the heart of the Wallachian hills in the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area, about 23 km from the district town of Vsetín. The town has various sports facilities, such as a grass football pitch, tennis and volleyball courts and a gym. In winter the Karolinka ski resort is open, with a ski bus that picks guests up right by the guesthouse; you can also visit the ski areas on Soláň and in the nearby villages of Velké Karlovice and Nový Hrozenkov. Cross-country skiers will find plenty of maintained, marked trails, while the surrounding forests are a paradise for mushroom pickers and the area offers many marked hiking and cycle paths.
